Poor gut health can make our lives miserable. Many ailments that seem completely unconnected to the gut actually have their roots there. This means that when our gut is bad it can have a very severe impact on our entire health and wellbeing.
The good news? Once we fix our gut, the transformation in our health can be remarkable, not just in our digestive system but throughout our entire body!
We are currently OPEN to new clients!
Are you struggling with your health and feeling overwhelmed? Are you sick of feeling sick? Maybe things have been bad for a long time.
When we have a chronic health condition it affects many different areas of our life. We often don’t have the energy to:
On top of this, food intolerances and allergies can completely ruin our enjoyment of food. Some people have such a sensitive gut that it’s impossible for them to know which foods are causing the painful and distressing flare-ups.
Maybe you also feel embarrassed and awkward because of a skin condition or how your body looks.
It doesn’t have to be this way!
All disease begins in the gut.
Hippocrates
The ancient Greek physician Hippocrates understood the importance of the gut to our entire health. We now have the scientific knowledge to understand why our gut health has such a huge impact on every system of our body. One reason is our microbiome.
Our microbiome is the collection of bacteria and other microscopic critters that live on and inside us, mostly in our gut. It used to be thought that they were just along for a free ride but it turns out that they are deeply connected to how our body functions!
The microbiome is now known to do so many vital things that’s it been called the ‘forgotten organ’ of our body. The friendly gut bugs in our microbiome help us in many amazing ways. For example they:
Our microbiome is a complex ecosystem, like a coral reef or a rainforest, with a rich abundance of different species of bacteria. Each person’s microbiome is unique, like a fingerprint.
However it can only perform these vital functions for us when it’s in good condition. In this modern age of processed food and antibiotics, our microbiome can easily lose its rich abundance and be taken over by bad bacteria. This is known as dysbiosis and it’s very bad news for our entire health.
Another reason poor gut health can affect our whole body is leaky gut, which is also known as ‘intestinal permeability’.
Our gut wall is very thin and delicate but forms a vital barrier separating the contents our gut from the rest of our body. It can become leaky, often at the same time that our microbiome goes into dysbiosis.
This enables troublesome stuff like toxins from bad bacteria or partially digested food proteins to pass into our body. This triggers our immune system into acting as if the body were under attack, but it can’t fix the problem and soon our body is in a state of chronic inflammation
Many experts believe this is the root cause of autoimmune diseases, a type of illness where our immune system is ‘confused’ and attacks our own body. Some common examples are multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis.
It’s certainly the case that many people have experienced huge relief from their autoimmune conditions or even completely cured them by healing their leaky gut.
Over-the-counter medications that are commonly used for gut issues have been found to worsen problems in the medium and long term. These include painkillers such as Advil (ibuprofen) and drugs to reduce stomach acid (antacids and proton pump inhibitors). They do little except temporarily lessen symptoms.
You may be recommended for bowel surgery, which also comes with significant risks and can lead to ‘adhesions’: internal scar tissue that can cause pain, obstruction and the need for yet more surgery.
You may well be told there is ‘no cure’ for your condition and that you’ll be on meds for the rest of your life. However there is another way! Thousands of people around the world have already found great success using these methods to reverse and in some cases completely cure their gut-related health issues.
The system is known as Functional Nutrition and it recognises that the food we eat plays a central role in our gut health and how our entire body functions. Not only is this common sense but it's also been recognised in scientific studies.
However in countries like the US and UK, doctors are not taught nutrition at medical school and tend not to recognise its truly fundamental importance to our health.
Using individualised nutrition, supplementation and lifestyle changes, we unlock the body's ability to heal itself. We remove whatever is blocking the body's ability to heal, such as gut parasites or foods that are triggering inflammation. We add missing nutrients and boost quantities of friendly bacteria.
Slowly but surely we recover our health.
We look at the ENTIRE body as a whole, not just individual parts and systems. Mainstream medicine sometimes overlooks the big picture, not considering that problems in different parts of the body are often connected and may have a common cause.
The type of illnesses we’re talking about here are known as non-communicable diseases (NCD’s), meaning that they don’t pass from person to person. The causes of NCD’s are complex and often controversial. We can never point to one single cause as being entirely to blame. However by using functional nutrition and focusing on the gut, we are able to achieve remarkable results.
Our gut bugs are now working for us instead of against us. We see huge health improvements throughout our body.
The natural healing force within each one of us is the greatest force in getting well.

Lab tests are not obligatory but can be very helpful. We believe that the 3 tests below are some of the most helpful. We work with a number of labs that can provide these tests to clients in the US, UK and Australia. We may also be able to provide them in other territories (ask and we’ll let you know!). Your coach can also request additional tests from your doctor or a local laboratory.
An invaluable diagnostic test that allows your coach to evaluate the status of: beneficial and imbalanced, friendly, ‘commensal’ bacteria, pathogenic bacteria, yeast, parasites, digestion and absorption inflammation and immunology.
This helps to precisely identify pathogenic species, bacterial imbalances, maldigestion, malabsorption, inflammation, immunology concerns and gastric acid production, which in turn helps your coach to select of the most appropriate natural treatment agents.
A testing kit can be sent to your home. You collect a small poop sample and send it back to the lab for analysis.
Zonulin is a key biomarker in assessing intestinal permeability (leaky gut). The test is valuable in determining whether you have leaky gut and how severe it is. It can also be used to monitor your progress, as zonulin levels can be improved following a gut repair protocol.
A testing kit can be sent to your home. The test involves taking a blood sample so you’ll need to attend a nearby clinic who will forward it on to the lab for analysis.
Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth test: this measures the hydrogen and methane gases produced by bacteria in the small intestine that have diffused into the lungs. These gases are produced by bacteria (not by us humans) and are tracked on a graph over the gut’s ‘transit time’ of 2-3 hours. If there is a bacterial overgrowth this will be reflected in the levels of hydrogen or methane gases.
A testing kit can be sent to your home. The test involves breathing into the special kit a number of times. You can then send the kit back to the lab for analysis.
If so, then we want to reward your commitment to getting your sh*t together by providing you with the most comprehensive gut health coaching program available.
